**Meaning**: Effective action requires two hands - a strong hand (lion) to deter and overpower opponents, and a cunning hand (fox) to recognize traps, read the situation, and preserve yourself in unfavorable conditions.

**Meaning**: Do not surrender yourself to fortune. Repair the roof while the sun shines; prepare for the storm in peacetime. Those who blame fortune for their failures are those who never thought the storm would come while the weather was fair.

When you lay a problem before me, this is the thinking path I usually follow.

No ideals, no should-bes. Give me the facts first:
