# Buy a software license with your agent

Agents often need to **purchase or renew licenses** (IDE, API plans, team seats) as part of a longer task. CAI executes the **on-chain or custodial payment** after your agent surfaces **how the vendor wants to be paid** and you explicitly confirm.

## When to Use

- "Buy this software license for me"
- "Renew my subscription — agent pays"
- "Pay the vendor address my agent found"
- "Use my CAI wallet for this SaaS invoice"

## Task flow (agent-native)

1. Agent reads vendor billing (invoice email, checkout page, or on-chain address).
2. `wallet_balances` on target chain/token.
3. Shortfall → `create_deposit_link` or bridge tools (honest `gap_id` if partial_live).
4. User confirms payee, amount, chain, token.
5. `transfer` only after explicit yes.
6. Optional: `mail_inbox_summarize` for receipt at @cai.com (scope `mail`/`full`).
